Rachel Bishop

Art has always been a real passion for me. I grew up in the north of England and used to watch my mother draw and paint and remember being amazed and completely mesmerised by the way she could create her own paintings and I always wanted to follow in her footsteps. This was the seed that was planted in me and now I’d love to share some things I’ve created with others.

Myself, my husband and two children love to go out looking for pictures we can take that I turn into paintings or drawings. I live in county Sligo where I have so much inspiration all around me, from the beautiful coastline to the majestic mountains. I’m constantly working on something new. My plan is to eventually have a painting of all the places people instantly recognise of each country.

I love to work in different mediums and find it very hard to stick to just one, so quite often I’ll combine different mediums in a painting which gives a lovely texture and glow to what I’m creating.
